Surp is a small village in the Valley of Àssua, located in the region of Pallars Sobirà , at 1040 m. high in the heart of the Pyrenees of Lleida. The fluvial peculiarity of the Noguera Pallaresa river offers the chance of doing several water sport activities.
Surp ,which is only five kilometres away from Rialp and seven from Sort, isolates from the hustle and bustle of city life and absorbs you with its rural way of life and traditions: agriculture, pasture, foraging, production of homemade cheese and rural tourism.
Wildlife is also an important feature of our area: vultures, bearded vultures, wild boars, foxes, deer and a great variety of small birds share this exceptional place with the inhabitants of the area. Moreover, Surp also has some distinguished buildings, such as the Romanesque churches of Sant Iscle and Santa Victoria dating back from the 13th century , as well as some other typical buildings of the area, like Casa Bertrán, a symbol for the peasantry of Pallars.
The location of Lo Paller del Coc is also perfect for doing many outdoor activities and enjoying nature. Vall d´Àssua is one of the entries to Parc Nacional d´Aigüestortes and LLac de Sant Maurici. The ski resorts of Port Ainé, Espot, Tavascan and Baqueira Beret are just at few kilometres away from our place. Lo Paller del Coc is both near all these places and far away from the noise.
