In the heart of the Catalan High Pyrenees

Surp is a small town in the Àssua Valley, in the region of Pallars Sobirà, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees of Lleida. Located at 1,040 meters of altitude, its orientation at noon makes it the sunniest town in the valley. Just five kilometers from Rialp and sed de Sort, Surp isolates itself from the hustle and bustle and is immersed in rural life: agricultural tasks, herding, forages, making artisan cheeses and rural tourism.

In our natural mountain environment, wildlife still persists: vultures, bearded vultures, wild boars, foxes, deer and a great variety of small birds share with us this privileged place.

Among the historical heritage of our environment, the architecture of the Romanesque church of Sant Iscle and Santa Victoria stands out, built in the 12th century and among the houses stands out Casa Bertrán, considered the cathedral of the Pallars peasantry.
The Noguera Pallaresa river offers us a wide range of leisure activities and adventure sports thanks to the particularity of its river course.

We are close to tourist attractions and away from the noise and fuss that this generates. Twenty kilometers away are the ski slopes of Port-Ainé, thirty Espot, thirty-five Tavascan (currently united within the group Gran Pallars)and in forty-fiv Baquèira-Beret.
In addition, the Àssua Valley is one of the entrance gates to the Aigüestortes-San Mauricio National Park and also close to the Alto Pirineo Natural Park from which to carry out ecotourism activities.
